Fifth Luminous Mystery
John 6:30-71

In John chapter 6, Christ shows us the cornerstone of all his teachings. Yet it did not come without pushback. John 6:66 symbolizing 666 shows us that many of His disciples walked away from Christ due to this one teaching!!

Yet Christ remains firm. He reaffirms his position to the point that he turns around to his 12 apostles and challenges them to leave as well if they don’t believe. Effectively challenging the ENTIRE history of salvation on this one teaching. For He preferred the apostles to leave him than to reject this teaching!

 Virtue:
Humility to accept Christ teachings even when they challenge our own beliefs

 Emulate Mary  by saying yes to Christ even when it is difficult. She was the first to be given something that surpassed her understanding: A virginal pregnancy with God!

Yet at the annunciation she accepts it by saying “ thy will be done!”

Are we saying yes to God with the same trust and surrender?
