Fourth Luminous Mystery – Matthew 17:1–13

The burning bush represents the transfiguration. Just how the fire does not consume the bush. In the same manner, Christ’s divinity does not consume his humanity.

Virtue:
Perseverance in trials

 Mary foreshadows this mystery in that she clothed the divinity of Christ in His humanity. Not being consumsed by it but becomes one with her flesh.  

 Only Mary can sing:
 ”Now this is bone from my bones and flesh from my flesh” -Genesis 2:23”
